Technique and Terroir
Entelecheia wines are built to showcase what the Finger Lakes does best; Riesling, but in under-appreciated or unconventional styles. Sparkling riesling or sekt is little known outside of Germany but can go toe to toe with the best champagnes, and kabinett styles of riesling are the ideal summertime refresher that will age past most any cabernet.

Both wines are made from the same pick of a single vineyard block. Handpicked and whole cluster pressed as gently as possible. The free run juice, being the purest, most acidic and delicate goes to the sekt, while the pressings having more flavor and body are set aside for the kabinett. The kabinett is handled as minimally as possible. The sekt requires a huge amount of work. It's a great examination of the hand of the winemaker and the hand of the vineyard. The wines are radically different and could not be more similar. Find out for yourself.
